The 7 stages of Post-Long-Weekend Grief, as gifs.
Every once in a while we are bestowed with a bonus day off either side of a weekend. For that 72 hours, you shed your pantsuit, head somewhere sunny and forcibly forget your email password. But then the work-week rolls in, catching you by surprise (possibly because you have been on island time) and leaving you with confusing, mixed emotions. To help you work through this grieving stage we have outlined the 7 Stages of Post-Long-Weekend Grief, using the most digestible of visual aids: the gif.
Have a read while IT resets your email password.
1. SHOCK & DENIAL
When your morning alarm goes off, and you realise that the long-weekend is over already.
2. PAIN & GUILT
You let yourself go, now you have to whip yourself together and just push through it.
3. ANGER & BARGAINING
Usually triggered by the first human interaction of the day.
Usually reserved for the privacy of a bathroom stall.
5. THE BOUT OF OPTIMISM
Coffee heals all.
6. WORKING THROUGH
You’ve gotta stay positive…
When you remember that this is your real life and you can, in fact, do this.
